Our client is a well-established financial firm and the first Cyprus company to receive a license to operate as an Electronic Money Institution granted in 2007. They are currently looking for an IT Support Officer for their offices in Larnaca.

End-user support
Working within a Windows Domain Infrastructure - Linux and UNIX systems are a plus.
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers (HPE, Dell), and virtualization.
Administer and support core Microsoft technology. (AD-DS, DNS, DHCP, CA, DFS, Hyper-V, etc.).
Administer and support VMware technology for high availability computing systems (VCenter, ESXI)
Track vulnerabilities and patching status of all operating systems, applications, and systems (WSUS, SCCM, GFI LanGard).
Administering Mail System on premise, clustered enterprise environment, handling mail routing, web filtering, application control and mail-flow related issues, and Mail Archiving solution.
Administer and support for VDI Solution.
Administering Enterprise Storage Systems Dell EMC (Vplex, Unity, VNX, Recovery-Point, Data Domain, MDS Switches).
Administering systems security by configuring, monitoring, and maintaining virus protection software (Kaspersky, Bit9, Fireeye HX), SPAM firewall gateways (Barracuda, Cisco Ironport, Fireeye EX), and mail Encryption PGP (Symantec Messaging Gateway).
Track vulnerabilities and patching status of all operating systems, applications, and systems (WSUS, SCCM, GFI LanGard).
Ensuring user access rights are implemented correctly
Monitoring server software and hardware
Knowledge of IIS Web Services and SSL Certificates - Knowledge of other web servers (Tomcat, Apache Web Server, JBOSS, Websphere etc.) is a plus.
Install applications on servers/desktops as instructed
Assist in performing system/hardware installations and repairs
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Handle the Intrusion Detection and Protection system.
Knowledge in programming languages (JAVA / J2EE, .NET Frameworks, Javascript etc.) is a plus.
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures (Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, CA Arcserve, Networker).
Education and Experience:
BS in Computer Sciences / Computer engineering
At least 2 years of experience in a similar field (preferably banking systems)
